Sanitary Bakery started in 1918 as a wholesale business which baked and sold only white bread and spice cakes. The name of the business was originally "Navy Sliced Bread" and our name was changed to Sanitary Bakery in 1948. That is why we can say that we are "The oldest bakery in Northeastern Pennsylvania!"

We are conveniently located in the heart of Nanticoke City
at 126 E. Ridge Street and we are owned and operated by
Joe and Ed Kowalski.

Joe and Ed guarantee customers that their store operates under strict hygienic guidelines and that all products available for purchase are prepared daily on the premises.
